The short version. TrachTrack does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. Everything you log stays in the app's private storage on your own device. The developer cannot see your entries, and neither can anyone else, unless you deliberately export or sync them yourself.

Everything below is stored only on your device:
The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location, and it has no way to identify you.
On Android, in the app's private internal storage (a local database that other apps cannot read). On iOS, in the app's private container, shared with the TrachTrack widget through an app group on the same device. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. Bear in mind that device backups you have enabled yourself (iCloud Backup, Google's Android backup, or a local computer backup) may include the app's data — that is handled by Apple or Google under their own terms, not by TrachTrack.
There is no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, tracking, or telemetry of any kind, and no third-party SDKs that perform them. No usage data, device identifiers, or diagnostics are transmitted. No data is sold or shared, because none is collected.
_trachtrack._tcp).If you choose to sync two devices, the transfer happens directly between your two devices over your local network — it never touches the internet or any server we or anyone else operates. Sync only runs while you have the sync screen open and have actively started it.
Each session establishes a fresh encryption key using an ephemeral ECDH (P-256) key exchange, and the care log is transmitted encrypted with AES-256-GCM. You confirm a six-digit PIN shown on both devices, which protects against connecting to the wrong device. Keys are per-session and are never stored or transmitted.
The Wear OS and Apple Watch companions talk only to your paired phone, over the platform's own Bluetooth link (the Wearable Data Layer on Android, WatchConnectivity on iOS). They hold no separate copy of your history and never connect to the internet. A watch entry carries just the event type, a timestamp and an identifier.
You can export your history as a CSV file or a text summary. When you do, the system share sheet lets you pick where it goes — email, a messaging app, a cloud drive, a file on your device. Once you send a file somewhere, it is governed by that service's privacy policy, not this one. Please think about where care information about a child is going before you send it. TrachTrack never uploads or shares an export on its own.
You can delete individual entries in the app, and reset the go-bag checklist. So that a deletion made on one device can be carried over when you sync, a deleted entry leaves behind a hidden marker recording that the entry was removed and when — the entry's own content is cleared from view and never shown again. To remove absolutely everything, uninstall the app, which deletes its entire local storage. There is nothing for us to delete on our side, because we hold nothing.
TrachTrack is designed to be used by an adult caregiver to record the care of a child. The app is not directed at children as users, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone. Any information about a child that you enter is stored on your own device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
Because no personal data ever reaches us, there is no account to access, no profile to correct, and no server-side record to erase or export. You hold the only copy, and you can view, correct, export or delete it at any time from within the app. If you have a question about how the app handles data, email the address above.
